This training will update you on the new laws that pertain to special event liquor licenses. It will also provide you with a refresher on the Arizona Revised Statute Title IV Liquor Laws and Arizona Administrative Code that pertain to obtaining a special event liquor licenses.
About the Presenter
Detective Risa Williams
Detective Williams completed AZPOST certification in 2007, and served in local jurisdictions prior to joining the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control in 2012. During her tenure, she has served in various roles as a field investigator in the Tucson and Phoenix offices, coordinator for the CUB (Covert Underage Buyer) program, and program coordinator for a statewide youth alcohol program funded by a grant from the Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith and Family. Detective Williams’ contributions include working with community coalitions and playing a vital role in preventing the sale of alcohol to underage individuals. Currently, Detective Williams coordinates the training and trade practice unit. This unit specializes in training wholesalers, suppliers, and their employees to ensure compliance with Arizona liquor laws and regulations.
