PHOENIX – November 1, 2019 – Phoenix-based Teen Lifeline has been named a “2019 Top-Rated Nonprofit” by GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews of charities and nonprofits.

Only the top 0.1 percent of charities qualified for this year’s Top-Rated Nonprofit award, making the award more selective than Harvard or Mensa.

Teen Lifeline provides suicide prevention services throughout Arizona. The organization is best known for its peer-to-peer crisis hotline staffed by Phoenix-area teens seven days a week, 365 days a year.

“At Teen Lifeline, we are focused on saving lives,” says Michelle Moorhead, Teen Lifeline executive director. “It is gratifying to be part of a community that recognizes our impact and supports our mission to reduce teen suicide in Arizona.”

The Top-Rated Nonprofit Award is the based on the rating and number of reviews that Teen Lifeline received from volunteers, donors and aid recipients

“Teen Lifeline is a great example of a nonprofit making a real difference in the community,” said Perla Ni, CEO of GreatNonprofits, “The award is well-deserved recognition not only of their work, but of the tremendous support they receive, as shown by the many outstanding reviews they have received from people who have direct experience working with Teen Lifeline.”

GreatNonprofits is the leading website where people share stories about their personal experiences with more than 1.6 million charities and nonprofits. The GreatNonprofits Top-Rated Awards are the only awards for nonprofits determined by those who have direct experience with the charities – as donors, volunteers and recipients of aid.
